A Triplet Nursery!

Affording a nursery for 3 baby girls wouldn’t have been possible if I hadn’t started from scratch. Being able to pick out my own colors, patterns and design and have them all sewn together really made it original. All the crafts, pillows and drapes in the room are hand-made , painted-giving it just the personal touch I wanted for my girls. My sister in law sewed the bedding for me and did an amazing job. It’s definitely my dream nursery!

Jude’s Whimsical Nursery

I created this room for my second son, Jude, and wanted a space that was both fun and sophisticated, and that would grow up with him. At the time of designing the room, we weren’t sure if our baby was a boy or girl, so something gender-neutral was necessary too. I didn’t want to go all matchy-matchy, and wanted to incorporate handmade and eco-friendly elements to the room. As a former art teacher/artist, I created many of the homemade touches myself, including the felted mobile, quilted wall hanging, and pillow. This room is now our favorite in the house!

Liv’s Baby Animal Nursery

Using diy projects and fun finds, we designed a contemporary baby animal-themed nursery for our daughter, Liv. The nursery includes a made-over Jenny Lind Craigslist changing table, a modern glider revamp, handmade crib bedding, a fabric-lined bookcase, plenty of diy art, a fabric pennant in fun patterns, handmade fabric basket liners, striped walls and hand painted, life size baby animals (by artists in our family!). We love this room and hope that you do, too! PepperDesignBlog.com

Baby L’s Budget Forest-Woodland Nursery

This nursery is for my 3rd baby, gender unknown. We were on a tight budget so we got what we could for free or cheap, and I made some items. The brick wallpaper was already in the room, we originally purchased for around $30 from Walmart. The four woodland canvases were dollar store canvases painted with dollar store paint, and decorated with felt scrapbooking stickers (total cost approx $14) Crib bedding is Litto Kids, purchased from Amazon.com with Swag Bucks (so free, but regularly $270) Wall Decal was also from Amazon.com & purchased with Swag Bucks (so free, but regularly $54) Mobile is by Djecko, and was purchased from Dandelionkids.ca ($30) Crib was an Ikea handmedown, refinished & Distressed with baby spray paint for about $20 dresser/change area was found at the side of the road, boxes were from ikea for about $7 each (using to store clothes/diapers etc) Rocking chair/purple pillows/teddy are vintage/family heirlooms, blue pillow is Ikea ($10) Blue burnout fabric was from a discount store, approx $10 Framed scrapbooking paper ($1 paper/$5 frame from Ikea As-Is) Curtains were from another room, originally Walmart for around $20 I believe. Rocking horse is a handmedown from Baby L’s brothers :-) We still need to get the new light fixture, but it’s not in the budget just yet!
