More of an animal room, my three year old calls it his jungle room- it was his Birthday gift when he had to start sharing with his baby sister. We opted to put them in the same room rather than give up our guest bedroom. A bit more “cartoony” than I usually prefer, it is still special because he helped pick out the theme :) My goal was to make it a fun room for him to enjoy while still allowing for my girly girl to grow into it (and I didn’t want to repaint)!
We celebrated Mila’s 1st Birthday at a local Gymboree Play and Music. She loves butterflies and we did a butterfly theme for her party. I did most of the shopping through Etsy, from her costume, decorations to cookies. We selected fuschia, orange and lime green as the theme colors, very cheerful. We hang the fuschia with white polka dots fabric as a backdrop for the dessert table. We also hang a butterfly chandelier from PB Kids as the focal point. Everyone loves the chandelier.
This was a small party for Chloe who turn 2
Vintage, shabby chic with aqua/champagne color scheme.
Blend of vintage furniture with modern touches
In anticipation of little lady’s arrival, we prepared a nursery that is bright, colorful and practical. The main goal was that the room could grow with our baby over the coming years.
We wanted a nursery that was fun for Baby O and us! The style of his nursery reflects our love for bicycles, earth tone colors and modern design.
I’ve daydreamed about creating a nursery for years… finding out I was having a boy presented a challenge for me – as I had only envisioned a pink shabby chic room! Decorating for a boy seemed daunting to me – I didn’t want trains or trucks – little by little this is what came to be!
We had a (modern) whale theme. I first found a Gap whale sweater, then a Polen O Pyret tee shirt and then a sailor hat on diapers.com. Banner, invites, thank yous, signs, cake, cupcakes – all handmade. I made mini whale tail cupcakes as favors, along with a blue candy bar, blue macarons & blue/dark chocolate covered pretzels. I had blue Jello centerpieces with plastic whales and shells in them. The crowning achievement for me was my cake!
I had so much fun designing my first child’s room. I took everything I loved from the Project Nursery and put it all together. I did not want one theme for the nursery so I went with a little of everything. I hope that this room can grow with him too!

A serene, fresh, and feminine nursery for our baby girl!
I wanted to make a nursery that would be able to grow with my son (due March 15th) Still have a little work to do but this is it so far !!
Our baby boy’s room. I didn’t plan on a theme, but an animal theme kind of emerged. I went more for complimenting styles and colors.
This is a candy/carnival themed party for my daughter’s first birthday. This party took me months to plan, but was SO worth it. I made the majority of the decorations and would do it all over again if I had the chance. Creating, designing and planning is what I LOVE to do. Check it out….
We met client J at an industry event – she actually won the set of luxury custom crib bedding we were giving away (shown in the nursery photos above). Upon delivering the news of her win, J hired us to make a complete nursery design for a Paris girl’s room. It just happened that our black and white luxury crib bedding matched the baby girl nursery ideas she already had in mind! With a color palette of black, white and hot pink for the Parisian nursery theme, the nursery interior designers of Little Crown Interiors jumped right in, to help J create a Paris theme nursery worth talking about. Our baby girls nursery design started with a nursery floor plan, and we took it from there. As with every single nursery design we have ever created, there is always something to challenge our skills. For this Paris girl’s room, J had some very modern pieces in mind (such as the existing modern nursery furniture), but baby girl nursery ideas were also coming from Dad, keeping us on our toes. In the end, our challenge was to design the Paris theme nursery to suit both parents’ taste. The beautiful photos of our completed nursery interior design project show the striking color palette and fabulous patterns we incorporated into our baby girl’s nursery ideas. This Parisian nursery design in black, white and hot pink is a baby girl’s dream – something she can grow into as she grows into a glamorous big girl. As nursery designers, it’s our highest goal to create a special space for each family to love, and we think this family will love their nursery design for years to come.
A fun, carnival-themed shower for a baby-to-be named Penny.
My little Princess Olivia turned 1 on February 27, 2011 and we wanted to throw a party as spectacular as she has been this entire 1st year!
We decided on a park theme for her nursery. Her wall says “everyday with you in my life is like a walk in the park”
