Let Them Eat….CANDY!!

Description

This is a candy/carnival themed party for my daughter's first birthday. This party took me months to plan, but was SO worth it. I made the majority of the decorations and would do it all over again if I had the chance. Creating, designing and planning is what I LOVE to do. Check it out....

Design Inspiration

I know that a one year old really isn't going to enjoy her first birthday like we anticipate, so I decided to go with the kid at heart....the adults, since we WILL remember. My husband and I LOVE candy so much, so that's where it started. I wanted everything to bring the adults back to their childhood with candy, popcorn, nachos, hot dogs and juice boxes. Everything that you loved and enjoyed as a child. We had a blast and so did everyone else!!

Project Details

Google, google, google, google. When I was pregnant, google was my worst enemy and then with this party planning it soon became my best friend. Martha Stewart, The Party Dress, Le Poppy Design, Etsy and The Hostess with the Mostess.

Favorite Items

The PARTY POMS!! I reused them and put them up in my daughters play room.

Advice

Plan ahead. That is the easiest way to budget and get EXACTLY what you need/want.

I love the colors, the variety and the arrangement you made here!!! I fell in love  with each jar, bowl, vase, and container of candy.  Like you, I am very fond of candy and have used them for party decor in some way or another since as far back as I can remember!  But what you did here is just plain LOVELY!
