Princess Nahla’s Chic Nursery

Description

After having three boys, I was ecstatic to find out I was having a girl.  I couldn't wait to design a high style nursery.  I wanted everything in her room to be unique.

Design Inspiration

The first thing I chose was her crib bedding and her crib. Once I chose that, I knew I wanted beautiful focal wall that would really showcase the two but not take away from it. Initially, I wanted to purchase wallpaper but after seeing the cost and how much more permanent it was, I went in a cheaper, bolder direction.  That is where the black wall with paneling came in.

Decorating Style

I would describe my style as High Style. I love the boldness of color or my favorite pattern with the combination of subtle accessories. I love to try to figure out how to make a room look like a million bucks on a budget.

Favorite Items

My favorite items are the rug and the crib.  I also absolutely love her focal wall because there are quite a few things that just draw your eye there, between the name decal and "chandeliers" and the bedding. I also love how ottoman came out along with the bowholder.  I really enjoy her room. It makes a statement at the same time is very soothing.

Advice

Choose one area, you would really like to stand out and create your design from there but be sure to not have any other part of the room compete with that area but also be sure to balance out the room.

Where did you purchase the crib from?

It’s actually two pieces, a book case and a unattached changing table that you can take off once baby outgrows it.

is there a link for the IKEA changing table? that’s a really neat one but I can’t find it online.

The Janet Ramos JRP print looks kinda deceiving. At first I thought it was a monogram on the wall behind the crib. Anyway, it’s such a classy elegant room!
