New Mom with a passion for traveling!

Parisian Nursery

First the chair, then the wall! I love to start a project with one piece that really speaks to me. The emerald green rocking chair was this piece. We didn’t know the sex of our baby until her arrival, but I knew either way I would work the room around it. Next came the wallpaper – I love Paris, who doesn’t!? I cannot wait to walk these streets with my daughter someday.

The World Traveler

Traveling is a passion of mine, and I hope to share that passion with my son someday. The National Geographic map on his wall was the building block and inspiration for the room, with its muted greys, beiges, and blues. I imagined bedtime being a learning experience… every night exploring a new country and diving into its culture. The white wrought iron crib and changing table by Bratt Decor added a vintage and traditional look, accented with crisp white linens. I repurposed a family bookshelf/desk by painting it white and giving it pops of color with the classic children’s books on display. The Restoration Hardware vintage airplane mobile tied it all together. My advice, when designing such an important room, is to use your heart. Find something you feel passionate about and build the room around it. Spread your wings, little boy.
