Tiffani Thiessen’s Cosmic Nursery Reveal

DwellStudio‘s Christiane Lemieux worked with Tiffani Thiessen to design this lovely cosmic nursery for Tiffani’s son that manages to be both bold and classic in its design. We are loving this cosmic chic trend, which in this case pairs rich blues with gold accents and celestial details. We recently got a chance to chat with Christiane to hear more about the design process of this special space.

What was the jumping off point for the nursery? Did Tiffani have any specific requests?
It all started with a vintage Darth Vader phone—a beloved antique that Tiffani’s husband Brady has cherished since he was a child.  We loved the idea of coming at a Star Wars theme in a whole new way.

We love the drama the navy adds to this nursery. Do you have any tips for incorporating a bold or dark color choice without overwhelming the space?
Opt for white accents to balance the space—the white window treatments, crib and accessories provide the perfect brightness to counteract the dark walls and ceiling.

Did you face any challenges when designing this room?
The biggest difficulty was probably designing from a distance. Picking paint from across the country can be pretty challenging, but because Tiffani is such a pro, we made it happen.

What does the couple love most about the nursery?
Tiffani’s favorite pieces are the beautiful artwork, patterned wallpaper and the plush sheepskin rug. I love that this room can transition seamlessly from baby to teen with only minor tweaks…and the artwork is a personal fave!
