Description
Zombies don't have to be scary, they can be quite silly and fun! This party table will be a great addition to any Halloween party.
Design Inspiration
I love finding great ways to party on a budget and since I can't do a full blown party this year, I had to get the Halloween party itch out. Easy to make treats and using lots of my own items made this party table fun and easy to do.
Decorating Style
Clean but fun and whimsical
Project Details
The most crucial part of any party is the backdrop. I love using paper lanterns and fans; reusable party items make it easy to decorate over and over again. For my other decor items, a quick trip to my local Dollar Tree had everything else I needed, the bloody cheesecloth, black mesh, and zombie tape. Layering the table is also important; a flame-less centerpiece is a great way to create a fun focal point without the fear of burning your table down. Easy to make treats packaged in a fun way is the perfect way to set the scene without stressing yourself out. The eyeball cakes are made with store-bought cake mix and the Bloody Brains are just popcorn and tinted marshmallow fluff. Finding free printables always makes partying on a budget possible. The Brain In A Jar idea came from Living Locurto, http://www.livinglocurto.com/2011/10/halloween-recipe-brains/, and the 'Toxic Treats' and 'Spider Bites' labels are from Oscar & Emma http://www.oscaremma.blogspot.com/2011/10/for-love-of-paper-free-halloween.html
Favorite Items
My favorite item are the zombie drink bottles...I love coming up with new ways to make even the simple things fun.
Advice
Start your party stash of reusable partyware, I have slowly been building up my paper lanterns/poms/fans stash so can always have instant party decor. And Dollar Tree is a treasure trove of amazingness.
