Description
I am expecting our 3rd child this July (a boy) and as a result we had to do some room reorganization since our 2 boys will eventually share. Our oldest, Sofia (4), will be our only girl and since she gave up her room we decided that her new room should be her little girly sanctuary that she can retreat to when she needs a break from the boys!
Design Inspiration
Sofia is a girly girl all the way and LOVES pink....so that's what she got!
Decorating Style
I guess I would describe my decorating style as more traditional.

Favorite Items
I like the little reading area. Sofia loves books so I moved her comfy chair from the playroom into her room so that she could take herself to her room for some quiet time when the baby chaos gets too much. I found the dollhouse bookshelf on Craigslist fro $20 and repainted it and then put the word "Read" on the wall and framed some dustcovers from her favorite books. I also love the Ikea canopy ($19.99) above her bed which I added the flower and butterflies to. The canopy is one of her favorite parts of the room.

Thank you for your lovely comments! I picked the tree up from the Pottery Barn Outlet some time ago....I'm not sure if they still sell something similar....

This room is sooo lovely. I love what you did with her books and that little sofa over there. When I was young, I had wished for a girly retreat for my own and this is what it would have looked like :) That canopy is just darling. Where'd you get that tree hanger above the little green sofa? This room is sooo lovely. I love what you did with her books and that little sofa over there.
