Stuff We Love

We wanted to create a glamorous nursery that our little girl could grow into! With the main color in the room being gold, we incorporated shades of coral and aqua.
The focal point of the room is the gold glitter wall…and pictures don’t do it justice! The other three walls have metallic gold polka dot decals. There are many DIY touches throughout the room – starting with the decals that I cut out myself, to the gold gumball machine and coral owl lamp. Spray paint can take ordinary pieces and make them pretty amazing!

What better way to celebrate a southern little lady, born in late summer, than a vintage picnic birthday party! Especially a little lady with a vintage nursery and a vintage name! Our backyard provided a great spot to welcome family and friends, and celebrate Rowe’s big day.

This gender neutral owl themed nursery was created for our child we will be adopting. The colors were kept neutral and easy to add purples/pinks in pillows if girl and oranges if boy.

After my husband and I found out we were expecting a little boy, we decided to do a nautical nursery.  We were already parents to our little princess, who is all about pink, so it was fun branching out into the world of blues :)

I turned this very small space into a cozy nursery with popping colors.  I played on a subtle theme of home sweet home which I thought was a unique, warm and homey theme in and of itself.  With a mix of modern and new and old antiques, this simple yet fun nursery turned out just the way I had hoped.  Hope you enjoy it!  Thanks for lookin’, friends!

This baby shower is a nautical theme. Which I think is perfect for a little boy!  We used navy, white and teal as the main colors throughout the decor of the shower.

This pink and gold nursery with pops of Tiffany blue was done on a $2500 budget from top to bottom. There is a lot of DIY and revamping that took place to make this sweet oasis for our baby girl.

Our daughter’s playroom, acts as both playroom and home office and is located inbetween our kitchen, living room and dining room. We needed to make it a room that we wanted to spend a lot of time in, but also a polished room guests could be in as well. It needed to flow with our transitional decor of our other rooms downstairs.

Home Depot in Ingelwood, CA was generous enough to host our son’s 4th Birthday party! The store manager helped us in figuring out the projects that each child would do, and had her artist create a Birthday Banner. She even had each child’s name written on their Home Depot aprons. Each child got to build a bird house and a tool box. We then sent them on a scavenger hunt to find tools and other hardware items. We provided all of the goodies to “Build a House” with graham crackers, peanut butter and other treats.
I bought grocery store sheet cake, and cut, smashed and mushed it up to make it look like a construction site. We crumbled Oreos on top and placed mini construction vehicles.

My sister’s baby shower was just the last sunday. We did a lot a arrangements only for a few hours party. But it worth it. I loved every single detail.
I was designing her invitation cards and I though she wanted the same of my other sister, Princess theme with crowns but she said “I want flowers everywhere, baby pink, and a vintage baby shower theme”, that’s how we started.

Brynlee’s navy, coral and gold bedroom truly was a labor of love (combined with some serious nesting from baby #2).  I combined modern patterns with contrasting colors to create an eye popping yet function room.

My husband and I have always wanted to create a classy, nautical nursery for our soon to be newborn. Through a lot of hard work (mainly done by my husband) and inspiration we were able to create a nursery that we are in LOVE with!
