Description
Brynlee's navy, coral and gold bedroom truly was a labor of love (combined with some serious nesting from baby #2). I combined modern patterns with contrasting colors to create an eye popping yet function room.
Design Inspiration
I had always loved the vintage look, but as she was getting older I realized that my style was changing. I was leaning more toward a modern style with bold colors and patterns. Once I saw an example on Pinterest of the navy, gold, and coral garland I knew that my mind was made up with my color scheme.
Decorating Style
Modern, playful, and functional.

Oh man that is hard! Probably the ikea latt chalkboard table. My little one LOVES it and chalk is much easier to clean up then crayons.
Advice
Use polyvore to put together all the different elements and to see how they play off of each other. Don't be afraid to do some things yourself. You would be surprised to find out how much that garland and metallic B would run if bought off of etsy as opposed to making them yourself.
