SSG Choi Jeong was selected as the monthly MVP in June for the first time in four years

Choi Jeong won 21 out of 29 votes (72.4%) and 155,287 out of 402,000 fan votes (38.8%) to beat the rival candidates with a total of 55.62 points. He was named the monthly MVP for the first time in four years since June 2019.

SSG topped the team's home run category with 34 home runs last month (June). Among them, Choi Jung recorded the most home runs in the team. In addition, he is tied for the lead in this category with 19 home runs in the season as of the 10th.

Choi also has 448 home runs. If the current pace is maintained, it is worth aiming to surpass Lee Seung-yeop (former Samsung, personal career 467 home runs, current Doosan coach) and become the No. 1 KBO League home run player within this year.

Choi Jung, who was selected as the MVP in June, will be given 2 million won in prize money. With the support of Shinhan Bank, 2 million donations will also be delivered to Pyeongchon Middle School, Choi Jeong-eun's middle school.
