Sweet, Simple Nursery

Description

I was going more with a color theme, orange, gray-blue, green, and brown. I really wanted to keep it simple. This is our third child, I knew what would be important to me. The baby, not all the stuff!

Design Inspiration

I wanted to work with gray-blue, and my husband really wanted to use orange.  So, we just went with a color theme.

Decorating Style

I love color!  I like to keep things simple, and practical, keeping a budget in mind.

Project Details

The crib, bookcase, and curtains were Ikea, the chair and dresser are vintage, textiles came from Target, letters from Joann Fabrics, elephants were cross stitched by momma, the drawing and watercolor were done by siblings, and the alphabet poster was from Sea Urchin Studio on etsy.  Wall color is comfort gray from Sherwin-Williams.

Favorite Items

We took such care naming him.  I love the ABRAM letters on the wall!

Advice

I just used things that I knew would either be needed or would have a sentimental value.

Would you share the gray brand color paint that you used for this nursery?

I could definitely make some elephants to sell!  Or, the pattern is found here, http://www.etsy.com/listing/57888704/cute-elephant-cross-stitch-pattern, if you would like to purchase it (she doesn't mind if you sell projects using her patterns, however).

Would you consider selling your cross-stitched elephants?  That is awesome!  Overall this room is fantastic!  I love the way you put everything together and the mix of colors is very pleasing to the eye.

I love the ABRAM letters on the wall too.  Whimsical without the messy look.  It's amazing how clean this room looks even with the loads of color you used.  Great work!
