A Valentine’s Party

Description

We hosted a valentine's party for Max and Sophie's friends. We provided a plethora of valentine crafts for guests to choose from and many sweet and healthy treats.

Design Inspiration

I love the colors pink and red mixed together, and I really wanted to have a very pink and red themed valentine's party for my children and their friends. The flower arrangments included red roses and pink cherry blossoms and the balloons were all shades of pink and red too.

Decorating Style

I am a traditionalist, but I like including modern accents to create a fun, fresh, and more youthful appearance.

Project Details

I love the Valentine's collection from WH Hostess (www.whhostess.com) . I purchased several things from her including stickers for cups, stickers for personalized water bottles, cupcake toppers, and favor tags.

All of the crafts and materials that we provided for the kids were puchased online at Oriental Trading Company (www.orientaltrading.com). It's pretty amazing the magnitude of things they have and how cheap they all are!

Favorite Items

My favorite thing about the party were the flowers. I love fresh flowers in the home, and having an excuse to purchase many for the event was fun.

Advice

Birthdays are not the only times to throw a party. The kids and parents had so much fun at our house, and Valentine's Day was a great excuse to get together with all of our close friends.

Oh so much fun!  I love the little details that you've incorporated here, the balloons just drifting to the ceiling with the ribbons hanging down is a great idea.  I love the roses inside that tin container.  In fact, I love everything here!
