A DIY first birthday party for my sweet baby girl :) We put a lot of time and effort in to planning and executing this party. The decorations and food were done on a budget but the rest was not: We had to build a dividing fence through our yard to keep our three giant dogs on one side. We also bought an outdoor setting, park bench, amazing gazebo and rebuilt our sandpit for the kids to play in. We are so pleased with how the day turned out!!

I'm 23, from Australia. I live with my partner in our lovely house near the beach. We have 3 gorgeous dogs and a beautiful daughter named Madeleine. She was due in February 2011 but arrived 6 weeks premature in late December 2010. She is the healthiest, happiest most content little girl in the world ;) I put this down to happy, relaxed, calm and loving parents! I love being creative and adventurous :) I love acting, modelling, photography, design, rock climbing, skydiving, reading and many other things. Enjoy my projects! Much love xx

Your DIY invitations are pretty. And I have to commend you for the love and care you put into creating everything for the party. And oh, the gazebo is beautiful!!! Such a splurge, I’d say.

Love this party’s details, from the invitations to the flowers, to the outdoor set-up. I agree with you on the party favors. I wouldn’t care about candies and lollies, too. I’d rather give the kids something that they really like and something that would last a long time.
