Vintage Nautical Baby Shower

Description

My incredible sister and friends threw me a fabulous baby shower. The theme was vintage nautical and they nailed it, down to every detail. Instead of the normal puff paint or fabric marker onesie decorating, we had vintage iron-ons that were pressed on to the outfits, bibs, hats, etc. Even the toys that were used as decoration were either vintage or nautical themed. They kept it simple, clean, bright, and not typical baby shower decor at all.

Design Inspiration

My husband and I are a lover of all things vintage, so they knew we would appreciate the decor the chose so much! We love the look of anything nautical as well, we even incorporated some of it in to his nursery!

Decorating Style

Vintage with pops of shabby chic for this shower!

Favorite Items

I think I loved the centerpieces the most, but the old frame with fabric holding my maternity photos comes in a close second!

Advice

Don't be afraid to use practical pieces also as decor. For example, use a sail boat to hold candy! Bright flowers help brighten up the tables, and a constant theme throughout helps, although don't make everything match exactly...mixing it up, while staying with theme is the best.

Very lovely photos. I love that table centerpiece, with the sunflowers and the toy sailboat.
