Gallery Roundup: Indian Spice & Everything Nice

A friend of mine visited India recently. As I thumbed through her photo album I was struck by the vibrant colors and patterns found in their fabrics, garments, and even spices. These submissions to the Real Gallery do just the same.

Nicole’s Bollywood Elephant Party was inspired by Indian summers and spices. The designer’s color scheme used strong oranges, intense blues, bright pinks, and touches of silver.

Newborn Chloe Elizabeth of Huntington Beach, CA falls asleep in this non-traditional worldly nursery. The walls were inspired by the French Riviera and complimented with finds from Land of Nod, Etsy, Home Goods and vintage shops. Bollywood influences are found throughout the room, including elephants and jewel tones. This Real Rooms designer says “Decorate with what you love, even if it feels a little off…it’ll all come together and look bright, happy and eclectic.”

Have you been inspired by traveling? Share your designs on in our Real Gallery and you may just see your photos in the next Gallery Round Up!

Having an Asian inspired room is great. It's very unique and it is by definition, very colorful and interesting. I used to decorate my own room in college with an Asian motif. Haven't been to Asia but I saw pictures, plus I shared the place with a Filipino roommate. She's sorely missed, as was her designs!
