Bunking up!

Every child needs a special space to call their own or share with a friend. At my house, my son Joe has his own room. For a climbing boy over four years old, bunk beds were the perfect solution for creating a sleep or “nook” area for his room. Bunk beds were not the choice for my children’s room décor when they were little. But as they got old enough to use them, and I no longer worried about them falling out, the idea grew on me. Now sleepovers are more fun for everyone.

I thought I would share some fun photos of how far bunk bed design has come. It is now even more stylish to create one of a kind sleeping “nooks” for children. Whether for sleeping or just hanging out in quiet time… special spaces can be an unique solution for your child’s room.

Bunk beds are also a great way to add storage to a room.

Style your special spaces to reflect your own design style. From cottage to contemporary, built- in or stand alone. Bunk bed design has come a long way.

Double your fun for sleepovers. Create a special “nook” for each child in a room with others. Fun for sleepovers or anytime.

I always like a new twist on a design. Collecting these images on how unique bunk beds and “nooks” can be created has given me a new outlook on the idea of a child’s “sleeping” space.
