Baby Z’s Room

Description

This is a very tiny room, that we wanted to also keep as a guest bedroom. We don't know if the baby will be a boy or girl, but we wanted nice bright colors.

Design Inspiration

The inspiration came from the bedding that we found at Target on clearance.  It had nice & bright neutral colors.

Project Details

My 4 year old daughter painted the pictures of the animals on canvas.  My husband made the bookshelves that were inspired from Ikea bookshelves.  I designed, printed, & framed the graphic art over the dresser, and the "Do not feed the animals" art on bookshelf.  I found the animal hooks & rug at HomeGoods.  The alphabet mural was made from letters found at AC Moore, which I hand painted and hung.

Favorite Items

My favorite items are the paintings made by big sister.  And the bedding we found on clearance.

Advice

I am not a designer, nor could I afford to hire one.  I started with one piece of inspiration (the bedding), tied in a theme (Animals & Alphabet), and matched the colors.

Your four-year-old has some serious talent there! My husband can't even draw squiggly lines! Anyways, I love this room, it looks bigger than it actually is, right? I think the bright colors do that to a room. It's nice to see a real labor of love on PN!
