Description
My daughter Ava has been in ballet for 4 years now, so when she asked for a ballet theme birthday party it was only fitting! At first she told me that she wanted simply pink and white, but for me, that theme would be what everyone would expect from a ballet party. We came to the agreement of a Nutcracker theme since Christmas is not far from her birthday and the Nutcracker is her favorite ballet…well the only one that she has seen since she is only six. And what better theme than the “Land of the Snow” scene from the ballet! I got to work on designing an invitation and other social stationary. It was a fantastic way to incorporate both the ballet and the upcoming snow season (not that it ever snows in south Florida but we can pretend). The wonderful staff at her dance studio, Atlantic Arts Academy, were so gracious to allow me to host Ava’s party at the studio. The party started with the talented Mrs. Rose teaching all 14 girls a lesson to the sounds of the Nutcracker ballet. The girls were all giddy and smiles from ear to ear! I’ve never seen Ava have so much fun! Not only was she doing what she absolutely loves…dancing ballet…she was surrounded by all of her favorite girls!
