Wild Western Cowboy Party

Description

Hats, boots, bandanas, horses and more. We were celebrating my nephews first birthday with a Cowboy Wild Western Party. It was so much fun to see his first steps with boots. Blue, red and cow prints everywhere. A lot of kids having fun ridding little horses.

Design Inspiration

We are proudly mexicans who love horses and the cowboy hats. Actually, my nephews grandfather wears a cowboy hat almost every time. So, we decided it would be a great party theme.

Decorating Style

This was a rustic style.

Project Details

We did a lot of stuff by ourselves...

We designed and printed the Wanted Poster and the other signs, including banners, wanted frame photo prop and coloring activities.

I sewed the tablecloths. The red and cow print ones.

The wild western cowboy party cake from Cinnamon Productions.

My nephew’s grandma, sewed the burlap fabric favor bags. I added the sheriff badges with hot silicon glue gun, a ribbon bow and of course candies inside.

Thanks to my friend Elisa for making this chili candy pops, mexican favorites.

I made delicious melted chocolate mustache photo props. You can find the molds, chocolate for melting,  lollipop sticks, cellophane bags and jute cord at Michaels. Just follow the instructions on the chocolate bag. It’s so easy.

Also I made this big chocolate lollipop stars. Molds are from Amazon.

I cooked rice krispies treats which looks like “hay stacks”. You can find the recipe here.

The loot money bag printed at home on party favor paper bags.

Thanks to my sister’s friend Gris for sending us the beautiful mexican hand made table lamps as a center pieces.

The kids table and chairs were provided by Confetti Party Rentals.

A DIY high chair decoration.

Twenty Mexican horses were ready to pick up. Thanks to my sister’s friend Gris. All the kids loved them.

Advice

This is a rustic style very easy to do it yourself. Nothing have to be perfect. If you have the opportunity to travel to México you can find a lot of stuff very cheap to decorate this party theme, like the fabric little horses,  the centerpieces and piñatas.
