Description
Yes this room is packed with toys, beds and storage, but somehow the cohesive design of the furniture and simplicity make it all work. Without a playroom at home, we have to make the most of our space here a few blocks from the beach.
Design Inspiration
Honestly the inspiration for the project was the new custom daybed from Newport Cottages. This was the newest piece of furniture added to the room and will be the piece that transitions with him to his big boy room once we have a second child. We chose a daybed because his next room is the same size as this so small, and I wanted him to have as much floor space as possible to play on.
Decorating Style
My personal decorating style is clean, crisp, and comfortable.

Favorite Items
My favorite item is the daybed. My son calls it his "big boy bed" and loves it. When he moves into his new room, we have a few more decorative elements to add such as wallpaper, a rug, new artwork, blackboard and magnetic paint, as well as some bookshelves. Stay tuned....this is just the transition...
Advice
Buy quality pieces of furniture which can grow with your child. They may be more expensive but you will end up saving money in the long run instead of purchasing new pieces every two years.

This doesn't look a very big room, but it looks spacious. It's really nice, and fit for growing little boy. And yes, the daybed is simply adorable. Love it!
