When you name your son Maverick – well, at some point, you need to throw him a “Top Gun” themed party. You just have to. So, for Mav’s 2nd birthday we did just that. No, he has never seen the movie, but he loves airplanes, and birthday cake, so I thought, why not? And us adults loved the fact that we could get our party jam on with the Top Gun Soundtrack!
Whimsical New Orleans French nursery
Mini Marquee
For our second son’s nursery we were using a former guest room that gets a lot of light, so we wanted to keep the palette neutral, airy, and mature. We didn’t want to be tied down by a set theme, but decided that rustic, barn-inspired accents would make it feel a little more masculine.
Hatch Baby and Kids
This is Miss Rory Lou’s mint, pink and gold nursery. It is shabby chic, vintage, elegant, and ultra feminine all at the same time. To me, it is a nursery fit for the girliest of girls.
When I found out I was having my second girl, I was stumped on everything. Name, shower, gadgets, and most of all….the nursery. I felt like I had JUST been through it all (just a few months ago!!!) and had picked the most perfect of all options, so how was I to possibly choose?? But as the months went by, I found a theme I loved and ran with it. I absolutely adore how this nursery turned out. Soft, modern, clean, and feminine. I learned a lot from my first (like…don’t skimp on the glider — do you have any idea how many hours you’ll be spending in it????), so I was able to create a space I know is lovely but also very, very functional.
Right from the start I knew that I wanted to create a serene nursery for our son that was a calm, inviting retreat from city life.
A third bee birthday celebration for my wildflower daughter, Lily!
I decided to throw a sunshine and donuts birthday party for my two year old because she was the happiest in the morning and she loved her breakfast. This party was thrown in January but finally getting a chance to upload these on PN.
A Steamboat Willie nursery
Nursery fit for a king!
We created a fun and feminine space and science themed nursery for our little future astronaut. The room is very small so we had to use every inch of space to the maximum! We started with a base of navy blue and white, and once we found out we were having a girl we added in pops of fuchsia. We also added tonnes of lovely vintage items so that the overall effect reflected both Pappa’s love of space and Momma’s love of vintage.
Guess How Much I Love You inspired first birthday party.
After having two boys, my husband and I were ecstatic to finally have a little girl in our home. This nursery was a mix of French Provincial, farmhouse, and shabby chic. I was working on a very tight budget, so most things were either purchased off craigslist or vintage antique marts and re-done.
Will it be a boy or a girl? Gender neutral woodland themed nursery, colors are white, grey, and mint. Mid-century, clean lines, bright, light and soothing – with a bit of whimsy.
London’s purple nursery is very white and bright as are most rooms in my home. It is very girly with some different wall prints and accents.
When we found out we were having a boy, I wasn’t quite sure what “theme” I wanted for the nursery. I knew girl=pink everything, but boy….I wasn’t sure. So, like any new mom-to-be I hit Pinterest for inspiration. Naturally, I was drawn to simple and classic gender neutral rooms. And just as the rest of our home, I loved grey. Luckily, I stumbled upon these amazing star decals from Urban Walls. The nursery walls were already painted the same “greige” as throughout the house and ultimately we decided to leave them be (and save ourselves some extra work)! I fell in love with an animal theme. It began with a giraffe, then an elephant…but eventually, we had to throw in dachshunds too!
