Giveaway: Safety Has Never Been So Stylish

Did you know that 86% of all electrical related injuries happen to children under the age of 4? This startling statistic is powerful and a reason to ensure that your home is safe for your children. But here’s the kicker, safety doesn’t mean sacrificing style! Enter outlet covers with design in mind by Socket-Lockits. These socket covers help reduce electrical and choking hazards and the unique patent-pending design incorporates: self-locking barbs to prevent tiny fingers from pulling covers off, a convenient pressure-button release to make removal easy for adults and a variety of designs printed with non-toxic ink to match any décor.
Inspired by outlet covers found in Japan, Socket-Lockits was created by a husband and wife team that wanted to know “Why can’t safety be decorative?” Socket-Lockits can also be customized with just about anything imaginable, from fabric to photos. Find Socket-Lockits on Amazon for $5.99 for a pack of two.  We think they are so great we went ahead and added them to our Top Picks boutique.
WIN IT: By commenting on this post with your favorite girl or boy Socket-Lockits pattern. A winner will be chosen at random. Contest ends Friday, February 27th, 11:59pm pst.

I really like the owl series. My girls are BOTH so into owls right now. I have also found that socket protectors are a great way to conserve energy, too! Limiting the amount of items big kids can plug in means less energy gets sapped out by appliances that are turned off but left plugged in.

These are really great products, thanks for the chance to win!

  92. Suanne Giddings

    February 27, 2009

My favorites are the Retro Dots 1500-065 which are black and white. I think a child would be less likely to be attracted to this design, thus easier to keep them away from plug ins. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway!
