Here at Little Crown Interiors, we had the pleasure of working with Liv Lo and Henry Golding on their new soft lavender nursery design! Their family was expanding again and they wanted a refresh in the nursery. It was a small room in their Southern California home that was currently being used by their other daughter. She got moved into her “big girl” room, and we had a clean slate in the nursery!
Liv wanted a crib that was chic and flexible, so we chose the Yuzu Crib that converts from a bassinet all the way up to a toddler bed. We chose the coordinating Yuzu Dresser to keep everything light and bright.
We wanted to add some texture to the nursery since the other furniture was all white. We chose the Arc Glider in Ivory Boucle because it has a great modern shape and a motorized recliner. We added a coordinating ottoman even though the glider has a reclining function—ottomans can be used for storage and as an extra seat!
Because of all the white in the nursery, we wanted to add a little color and texture to the accent wall behind the crib. The Tie-Dye Stripes Wallpaper is really the showstopper of the nursery, and we chose it in a gorgeous soft lavender color. It’s also a removable wallpaper, so Liv Lo can pull it down if they ever decide to change the room.
We didn’t have a lot of space on the changing table wall, so we kept it simple. We added a round gold mirror above the dresser to help open up the space and kept the accessories minimal. The neutral rug in this nursery is also a beautiful piece—it’s super soft and washable!
We didn’t have a very high ceiling height, so we went with a semi-flush light fixture that we installed in the ceiling. We also added a floor lamp behind the glider for a little extra reading light at night. The room does get great natural lighting during the day, and also has a blackout shade for naps.
We finished off the space with a few other pieces like the sculptural side table, faux plant and a few personal photos on the wall. The soft lavender nursery feels fresh and sweet, and we loved working on it for Liv and her family!
