I’ve got another nursery design reveal for you today, and this one is a stunner! This client came to us wanting a truly special space for her baby girl. They had just purchased a new home and were starting from scratch, so we had a big blank canvas to work with. She knew she wanted lots of pink, some type of wallpaper, and touches of florals and butterflies.
One thing our client wanted was an acrylic crib. Acrylic cribs can work so well in a traditional design, even though they have more modern lines. It’s such a showstopper! Because it’s all acrylic, it makes the space feel super open and doesn’t block the statement wallpaper.
Speaking of statement wallpaper, we chose a gorgeous peony design that our client came across and absolutely loved. It’s even prettier in person! The details up-close are soft, giving it an almost painted look. Because the floral pattern is oversized, we went with other decor items that had smaller scale details, like the artwork above the changing table.
This room was also unique because it had a cut-out area near the closet with plenty of space for a glider and a second seating option. It’s always great to add extra seating when possible so more than one adult can sit in the nursery.
We also wanted to do something a little unique with the changing table. We chose a beautiful white dresser, which actually has a texture on it that’s hard to see in the photo. Then we added an acrylic changing tray to coordinate with the crib, and we used two large chinoiserie art pieces above with bird and butterfly details. A little vase of faux peonies is the final touch!
