Wild Heart Nursery

Today we are sharing a wild but sweet boy nursery from Amanda at Little House on a Little Land. (Psst! You’ll be able to spot some items from The Project Nursery Shop in this fun space, too.) We love the sophisticated take on an animal themed nursery and are super impressed with Amanda’s DIY slat wall. Her little boy Sutt is going to love growing up in this space. Stay tuned for a peek into big sister Maren’s space soon. Thank you, Amanda, for sharing with us! You can follow along with Amanda’s design work and her family on her instagram here.

Where did you pull inspiration for your nursery design?
I love monochromatic nurseries and slat accent walls. Once I saw the wildheart decals, I was inspired.

What part of the design process did you enjoy the most?
DIYing the slat wall myself. The math and angles were difficult, but it paid off!

What is your favorite part or detail in your nursery?
I’d have to say the corner with the Highland cow and the glider.

What is one thing that you would tell other parents to consider when starting their own nursery design project?
Don’t be afraid to be bold!
