We spotted this colorful boy’s bedroom in the gallery, and we love how bright and cheerful the space is despite having beige walls. Anna really didn’t want to paint but still wanted to inject some color and fun into the space to match her three-year-old son’s personality.
Anna opened up the space by putting her son’s bed into the closet (three-year-old Clinton refers to it as his “bed cave”). She actually did end up painting in there because it was a quick job. The space pulls double duty now as a space-saver and an extra boost of color.
Creating a library wall is a great use of space and an automatic splash of color. I always think it’s a shame to have to hide all those beautiful covers in a regular bookshelf, so this is a great solution.
But mostly it was Anna’s careful curation of just the right accessories and artwork that gave this bedroom the extra jolt of color it needed without becoming too busy.
