Baby Registry: Breastfeeding Must-haves

When you first start your baby registry, you realize just how many baby products are out there. It’s overwhelming for anybody but especially for first-time expecting parents, who, shall we say, have a lot of other things on their mind! We’d love to help you narrow down the playing field here at Project Nursery as you check items off your registry list.

In honor of World Breastfeeding Week, we’re spotlighting some breastfeeding must-haves. There are many options available in each of the categories below, but these are some of our favorites. Those twist-cap milk storage bags by Kiinde deserve a special mention—what an innovative and time-saving product! What is your favorite breastfeeding must-have?

Nursing cover, check. Breastfeeding pillow, check. Breast pump, check. Seems I have a lot more on my list.

Wow, so many feeding must-haves now. Breastfeeding comes with such fuss nowadays. Back in the old days, it was basic, normal, ordinary, easy. All you need are your breasts and a baby.

I guess it’s become such a fuss these days because breastfeeding is no longer considered “normal” and “basic.” For example, it’s getting harder and harder to BF in public with all the judgmental people around. And that’s why you need a cover that you can wear easily. And a bra that you can snap off without difficulty. And there’s also the fact that more and more women are working moms now, so they are not around to BF their babies the entire day. Thus they need breast pumps and milk storage containers to make sure their babies have breastmilk even if they’re not around.

Yeah, you’re right, Lily. Sigh. Gone were the days when there was no other option but to breastfeed.
