Modern Nautical Room Design

The new catalog for Unison came out this week, and if you are in need of decorating your beach house with a contemporary and clean vibe or just want a nautical room design, this is the one-stop shop for you.

I’ve always been a fan of their clean sailor and regatta stripe bedding sets for boys’ rooms.

The large whale and ship prints below are all you need to spruce up your walls.

They also work nicely with Serena & Lily’s Color Frame bedding collection pictured below.

Children's Bedding Set

Designer Lauren Stern uses similar prints in many of her wonderful children’s room designs. I like how she managed to get a nautical design without using red or yellow paired with blue.

To finish up the wall decor of your nautical room, I’d add some vintage or replica oars similar to these from Pottery Barn below.

Navy blue and white is one of the cleanest, coolest and most refreshing color combinations there is. That’s why I decided on a nautical theme for my son’s room too.
