Our friend Lesley David of Paint Your Space finally gave us an insider look at her seven year old son Logan’s room. If you have followed Project Nursery in the past you know we totally swoon over horizontal stripes. So of course we loved what Lesley did with Logan’s walls. The stripes allowed her to make Logan’s room feel preppy and put together but got that unexpected kick she yearns for when designing a room. Lesley gives us all the details on Logan’s room including the great paint colors and DIY projects!
What was your inspiration for the room?
Something simple that could roll with his changing themes. I wanted a neutral backdrop that was whimsical, but timeless and horizontal stripes seemed to do the trick!
What best describes your decorating style?
I think eclectic, but with traditional pieces mixed in. I love the unexpected!
Please with us your choice of paint colors, furniture, art, diy tips, etc.
Benjamin Moore Powell Buff HC-35 and Lancaster White were the paint colors. Pottery Barn for the locker which is a discounted piece I got at the outlet. Furniture was made by my husband and the dresser was updated with beadboarding to the face, coat of paint, and new hardware. Bedding was purchaed from the Michigan Design Center at a sample sale
What is your favorite item(s) in the room?
I do not know if it is an item, but the stripes painted on the wall is the best.
Is there anything else you would like PN readers to know?
I am an interior designer that has a blog page as well….paintyourspace.com. I offer online paint consultations.
