As a new mom more than six years ago, I turned to Skip Hop for my first diaper bag. I was sold on their stroller clips and the many pockets that would allow me to keep my phone away from the sippy cups. Then when it was time for my little ones to enter their first separation program, I purchased Zoo Packs and Lunchies because I found a bit of comfort in sending my toddlers off with cheerful creatures to help them carry their belongings. I’ve loved Skip Hop products for many years, so I was excited to attend a recent press preview event in New York City where they introduced a number of new products.
Skip Hop continues to reinvent many of their well-loved, practical products including the Duo Essential Diaper Bag that first debuted ten years ago. The new Duo Signature Diaper Bag is available in a variety of prints and colors including heather grey, black, onyx tile, red, chevron and charcoal/lime.
The Skip Hop Duo Signature Diaper Bag retails for $60, and it builds upon the features of the original. It boasts sturdy tote handles, a zip-top closure, an interior tech pocket and no-tip design. With ten pockets and two mesh side pockets, the bag offers ample storage—it can even accommodate a 15” laptop. I’ve found the new Duo to be lightweight, comfortable and easy to access with its magnetic side closures. I also like how the convenient front zip pocket provides an additional spot to secure valuables. As with the classic design, the patented stroller clips allow the bag to easily convert from a shoulder/tote bag to an attached stroller bag.
Skip Hop has also extended their beloved zoo crew into a collection of sweet toys. The toys will be available in August/September and feature unique teething details, musical elements and mixed patterns and textures. I love the idea of building upon a favorite toy as baby grows into toddlerhood, and this collection will allow you to do just that.
Skip Hop’s new rain gear—available in July—will keep your little ones dry in adorable style. All of the zoo raincoats have kid-friendly closures and fun 3D details like ears and antennas. And if you’ve ever walked with an umbrella-clad toddler, you will appreciate the clear peek-a-boo windows on the matching umbrellas!
Which of these new products from Skip Hop would you like to add to your collection of baby gear?
