High vs. Low: Chevron Bedding

Since chevron is all the rage in home design, it’s only natural that it would move its way into the children’s arena. My high vs. low comparison this week is chevron (or zigzag) patterned bedding suitable for children’s rooms.

I like starting with high because this is the look from which you should pull your design inspiration:

This adorable new ZigZag Bedding Set from New Arrivals, Inc. can be ordered by the piece, but if you want the duvet and three pillows, the set will run you around $600. You can even get a custom Crib Set to match for $428.

If the grey and white is too minimal a look for you, add some yellow, turquoise, orange, pink or purple accents to liven up the space.

The low option is a ZigZag Bedding Set with a larger zigzag pattern from Urban Outfitters. The twin duvet is only $69 and shams are $30 for a set of two. Now this design is not as tailored as the set from New Arrivals, Inc. above, but it can get you a similar look for a lower price.

Here is one more ZigZag crib set by Carousel Designs—a lower priced nursery option, which will run you $240 for a three-piece crib set.

Love your hi/low featured and love this bedding even more. I think I’ll use it in the boys new shared room next year. The wheels are turning…

I am pregnant with my second little girl and I love the crib bedding you have featured! Quick question, I already own a crib and it is basically a dark wood, I believe it is espresso. Would the white, grey, and yellow go with a darker wood or would you suggest using this bedding with only a white crib?

    Jenna,

Yes yellow is fine to use but I’d maybe opt for something with a little more punch like turquoise against the dark finish of your wood.

I love Chevron crib bedding. It is the perfect modern design for a boy or girl. I especially like light grey and pink combinations. It will go great with my white nursery furniture.
