Party Reveal: One is FUN!

I have three boys, so girly parties are most definitely not in my future, but when my business bestie announced she was having a girl, all I could see was pink! Yay for baby girls—and boys too, of course—but between the two of us, we’ve planned our fair share of boy parties, so we were so excited when it was time for Livy’s first birthday! Shannon wanted to keep it simple, so she decided on a “One is FUN” theme, and the details are darling. Here it is in all of its pinkness.

One is Fun Birthday Party

Every first birthday celebration should include a smash cake, and Livy’s cake was made for us by the talented ladies of Inspired Sugar. Shannon added the DIY mini balloons and gold mylar “1” for the perfect cake accessories.

First Birthday Smash Cake

Although this was a first birthday party, many of the partygoers were older. The most frequently asked question at all of our parties from pint-sized guests is, “What are the party favors?” So for Livy’s party, Shannon opted to make bubblegum wands. Using clear candy tubes, tissue fringe and some adorable printables, this favor idea was the perfect crowd-pleasing treat.

Now what’s a party without some party animals? Oh, don’t worry—Shannon took care of that too! This is where cuteness reaches a whole new level, and I know that you’ll want to make your very own, so I’ll be sharing the DIY for these simply sweet cupcake toppers in a tutorial.

The kids loved these sweet and salty treats. Fill snack cups with popcorn, drizzle with white chocolate and top each one off with colorful sprinkles.

And here is Miss Liv on her special day. She was absolutely in awe of all of the bright and happy colors.

She also loved chasing all of the balloons. Shannon and I love to put air-filled balloons all around the floor at our parties—toddlers have some much fun playing with them!

Hi Emily, I believe they came from their Petite Party Studio Shop. It doesn’t look like they have those exact plates in stock right now, but there are similar styles.
