As designers, we like to make sure that we’re always “in-the-know” about the latest and greatest nursery and child items. So, every year, we take a few days off to attend the ABC Kids Expo—the largest juvenile products industry event in the country. This massive event covers almost one million square feet of exhibit space, so there’s endless amounts of amazing new things to discover. Each year, we look forward to a few exhibitors in particular after hearing the buzz about what they are rumored to be debuting at the show. This year, we wanted to share them with you before we go and then post again with fabulous photos and reviews.
1. Nurseryworks is one of the best modern nursery furniture manufacturers out there. Last year, they blew our minds with the introduction of the completely acrylic Vetro Crib. This year, we’re looking forward to seeing the even newer Uptown Crib—a sleek white lacquer crib with design inspiration from 15th century Britain.
2. SPI Baby is a new venture of two interior designers-turned-furniture makers. We worked with them to design a custom glider for Laila Ali’s nursery and have been fans ever since. They are debuting their line for the first time at ABC this year, and they’ve got a new glider even we haven’t seen yet.
3. One of the most dramatic ways to transform a nursery into something amazing is with spectacular textiles. We love to hunt down beautiful new bedding sets at the yearly show. We recently got a sneak peak at some gorgeous bumper-less sets by Caden Lane—available at Rosenberry Rooms—and cannot wait to get our hands on them (literally!).
4. It’s no secret that we love things that sparkle (especially Gerri)! We love hanging a big, dazzling chandelier in a nursery to give it a punch of glamour. In a giant exposition center, you can see the crystal chandeliers sparkling from across the floor, and they are just too beautiful to resist. Last year, we flipped out over this fun new design, available at Rosenberry Rooms.
This year, who knows what will be in store? You can be sure that we’ll be sharing our new faves the minute we get back from the show!

I need a little more color for my baby. I love color and shabby chic. Vinyl wall decals and wall stickers for kids are a great decorating tool, too.

The Uptown Crib looks absolutely fab! Too bad I already got one (although I truly love it, too).
