Design Reveal: A Touch of Lavender

Today I wanted to share some photos with you all of a nursery that I completed a few months ago.  The client had the Stokke Sleepi crib, Monte Grano glider and Cubitec bookshelves already.  And when we started, the room was completely white.  Since the grey carpet was staying we needed to bring in a little color and modern, feminine accessories to brighten up the room! Orange, lavender and yellow were the complimentary colors of choice. I was so excited to find the Menagerie Cream rug by the Rug Market to add some visual interest on the floor.  It played off the Manny & Simon silhouette wooden toys perfectly.

We updated the dresser with the Cabana 3 Drawer changer from Duc Duc and had to throw in some accessories from Jonathan Adler to add a little playful funk.  The butterflies are not painted on and are actual decals from Blik. They are even prettier in person and actually look drawn onto the wall!

Lovely modern room. It looks so simple, clean and refreshing because of the light colors. The butterflies around the mirror are so pretty as well.

I love nurseries like this one. Maybe it’s the white furniture pieces that did it, as they are totally my weakness. And oh, that rug is lovely!

Love it all, I even visited the sites the accessories were bought from. The one thing which I just can’t take my eyes off is the nursery rug. I don’t buy the complaint that white gets dirty faster – it does not, as dirt has no color preference. It gets dirty as much as any other color but it just shows faster which is a good thing as it makes you wash it more often thus keeping it really clean instead of masking it!

Excellent design, so , so pretty!
