Today’s Sale: 30% Off Itzy Ritzy Reusable Bags

At home, I wear the mom hat and make sure my kids aren’t exposed to things that could be harmful. So imagine my pleasant surprise when my precocious daughter came home from kindergarten one day and warned me about how plastic sandwich bags were bad for the earth. Right after she shared that tidbit with me, I moved away from using plastic sandwich bags in my home and I’ve been using this amazing eco-friendly alternative called Snack Happened for the past year.

It’s a BPA-free cotton snack bag with a lead-free zip top closure and a PVC-free and waterproof lining. It’s my favorite must have for lunchtime feeding especially summer camp lunches, but you can always use it to store anything from crayons to travel toiletries. Unlike those single-use clear Ziploc baggies, you can toss it in the wash and line dry – I’ve reused mine for a year and it’s held up great! I have a few in rotation at home.

And if you’re planning any summer trips to the beach, there’s this great waterproof Wet Happened? travel version that’s perfect for damp swimwear and diapers (it fits up to 4-6 cloth ones). The zippered bag has the same eco-friendly sensibilities with the added bonus of not leaking or wicking. It’s the best way to make sure that amazing sand and surf doesn’t follow you home and spill all over your car.

These bags just make sense because they make me feel good about the environment and they’re affordable. I’ve bundled them together so that you can get one snack bag plus a wet bag and your pick of pattern. There’s a rhino, elephant, giraffe, and kangaroo print for the boys. My daughter personally loves her pink and green zigzag bag while my son prefers stuffing cereal into his licorice swirl print baggie for breakfast on the go.

We hope you love them as much as we do. Take advantage of today’s 24-hour sale to save 30% and sign up as there are many more fabulous finds to come!

I know they sell them on diapers.com and also at Nordstrom. :) You can also check out etsy for other versions or smaller "snack" sizes that are gusseted so they "stand up". We had them made as favors and to use at the candy bar at my daughter's birthday last summer. The Itzy Ritzy bags are really durable and thick and nothing leaks out. They are a perfect size for a half a sandwich and crackers for a little one's lunch!

Do they have a site where we can see all their pouch designs? I really love stocking up on reusable and washable shopping bags and pouches because I always find myself needing more. I love giving them away as gifts, too, because I want friends and relatives to start caring for the environment.

Such a good idea! And, every child can choose a different design and have his/her 'personalized' sandwich bag - one less thing to worry in the morning who grabbed whose lunch. Thank you for posting!

Cute designs! I have been looking for something like this! I had stopped using plastic sandwich bags and switched to using paper bags. But I learned that paper takes even more energy to produce than plastic! I gotta go get a few of these reusable sandwich pouches. Thanks!
