A Room For Ramona

Melisa and I love when our husbands show interest in our decorating endeavors. It means so much to have their input and participation. Oh, who are we kidding – we just want them to agree with our design plans and love the fact that we will likely be changing the room decor every other year! All kidding aside, we were really touched by today’s story about a soon-to-be dad and his helpful design abilities. Recent new home owners, Nick and Amber, thought their house re-model would be center stage for the next few years but just found out they are joining the world of parenthood too. Nick realized that a pregnant wife with such a big project on her plate meant one stressed out ball of hormones. He didn’t like that Amber felt so overwhelmed so he took on the task of nursery designer. Here is his inspiration board for a sweet pink and yellow nursery for baby girl Ramona. Mom, looks like you’ll soon have a second sweatheart in your life. Congrats!

Please share a little bit about yourself.
My name is Nick Wills. My wife Amber and I are both 24. In November of 08 we bought a fixer upper that we both fell in love with. A month and a half later we found out we were having our first child, a little girl. We are currently prepping the nursery (along with the rest of the house) for the arrival of baby. Amber was getting very stressed about picking out bedding, wall colors, etc. So I took over the job of planning the nursery. Not an easy task for a guy who hates the color pink. So I poured the Internet for inspiration and this board is what I came up with.

What was your inspiration for this board?
Many many home improvement and decorating blogs.

What an awesome hubby! I’m sure Amber is relieved to have this off her plate and in the apparently very capable hands of Nick. I can’t wait to see the finished product!
