Simple pink and white girl nursery

Description

We moved into a new home while I was 26 weeks pregnant. I knew instantly this room would be our daughter's nursery. I loved the natural light flooding in. It was pumpkin orange when we moved in and we quickly painted it a soft pale pink. I wanted a calm peaceful space and a room our daughter go grow with.

I have since added curtains and the wall above the crib is reserved for her newborn pictures (yet to be taken).

Design Inspiration

I chose the color first and knew I wanted bright, calming and clean. I chose white as the furniture color next and the rest of the room came together with pieces I bought over several weeks. I used nursery ideas from project nursery and pinterest and kept the room simple. I decided against going with a specific theme, but rather incorportated pretty girly items as I found them and also included a few important family heirlooms and recycled items.

Decorating Style

Clean, simple and fresh.

I love the reading nook in particular. I love books and am so happy I have kept all my books  from childhood to pass on to my children. I also love the bedding.

Advice

Design a space that will grow with your baby and one that you love to be in because really the nursery is more for you than for your baby :)

Hi, I love this room. What ebay site did you get the pink dresser knobs from?

Sweet and pretty room. It's perfect for a baby girl. And I like that it has a lot of natural light coming in. In fact, the room's so bright and well-lighted it's got a "glare" in the photos.
