Description
I wanted a modern nursery with a touch of rustic that didn't scream baby. I didn't have a glider or changing table for my first son so this is something I wanted to incorporate in this nursery. I didn't want to buy an all matching furniture set instead I wanted a more collected look.
Design Inspiration
I had done a lot of looking on Project Nursery for ideas and found a girl nursery: cherry blossoms that I really loved and decided to contact the designer to help me make decisions a long the way. The designer is Tammie Le from InterScene Studio. Thank you so much for guiding me along the way and for all the long phone calls and emails back and forth.

Favorite Items
I have a few favorite items in this room. One of my favorite things is the curtains I made. It took me for ever to decide on this fabric. The original fabric I had picked out was going to be so expensive so I kept looking until I found this awesome chevron fabric. I love how the bookshelves my neighbor made turned out. And last all of the photos of my little guy taken by Rialee Photography add a personal touch. She does a wonderful job and I would like to say a big thank you for taking the photos for my Project Nursery!
Advice
Make sure to add your own personal touch on your nursery with photos and DIY projects.
Elegant and sophisticated room. I love the effect of the colorful garland on the ceiling.
Where is the crib from?
Where did you get that wood stump? Did you make it?
Hi! This is an absolute gem of a nursery. You are very talented and have a good eye. I love everything in it, and the whole house itself. Just be careful with the window painted shut, cause that’s a fire hazard. Just beautiful!!!!
