This nursery is one of our favorite rooms to date. The design style is feminine, neutral, and slightly bohemian. Our client was very specific when it came to the color palette of the room. She wanted a soft, calming environment for her baby girl. The color palette we chose consisted of whites, Ivories, creams, and hints of blush and peach. We also opted to use a fun gray and white polka dot wallpaper to create an accent wall to showcase the beautiful crib.
To give the room some personality, we decided to use a subtle rainbow, and cloud theme. You can see the play on the theme throughout the room with the art, and choices of the different textiles. What inspired us was our clients love for creating a space that felt warm, inviting and peaceful at the same time.
In addition to the nursery, we also renovated the adjacent bathroom to complement the space. In the bathroom, we gutted every square inch adding a new shower and vanity area. We installed new tile, fixtures, plumbing, and vanity. To bring in the rainbow, and cloud theme into the bathroom we chose a white scalloped tile that brought in that feminine soft feel. To elevate the space even further, we selected a pink marble tile for the shower floor that really pops against the white tile and walls.
To bring in some warmth into the bathroom we chose gold fixtures and a medium wood tone for the vanity. Lastly, we added subtle greenery and a flower themed art piece to give the space the finishing touch.
