Description
This room is a great example of a client who wasn't afraid to take chances. Â She was willing to paint the walls white and go bold with trim and accessories to make this a true statement room.
Design Inspiration
The inspiration came from the fabric used on the window treatment. Â We found that first and worked around the bold pattern. Then we fell in love with the playful fabrics for the bedding and combined the two to create one of the brightest rooms I have ever designed.
Decorating Style
This home is traditional from the outside and the interiors have a modern twist but the client wanted to think outside of the box and have fun with the children's spaces. They are definitely the brightest rooms in the house.
Project Details
Bedding - Maddie Boo Bedding
Bed - Portica Canopy Bed by Room and Board
Dresser and End Tables - Bungalow 5
Wool Letter Pillow - Custom Design by Jonathan Adler
Favorite Items
My favorite decorative item in the room is definitely the bold pink trim. It truly sets the room apart from your standard paint job.
Advice
Don't be afraid of thinking outside the box. Â Paint your trim, paint your ceiling or even paint your floors a bold color leaving the walls white. Â The contrast creates an excitement in the design which you can't get just from bedding or accessories.
