Advent Baskets for Christmas

And on the 12th day.. before Advent.. Momma Elf was busy preparing the Advent Calendars and Gift Boxes to kick off the season on December 1st! I always begin with the sweetest seasonal pajamas, new ornaments based on new interests, seasonal books, and a few extra special items to add in some extra Christmas Magic 💫

Holiday Magic – Nursery Decor

Every child deserves some holiday cheer in their room. I decorated my daughter’s room in a whimsical pastel color scheme! There’s tons of glass trees, a pink village, velvet reindeer, cute signs, a nutcracker and even a car!
All of these knick-knacks were purchased from Target’s bargain bin this year, accept for the pink car — That was 60% off at Hobby Lobby.

Space Nursery

Space and space exploration have a special place in both my and my husband’s hearts. Our wish was to share that with our child as soon as he enters the world and what better way to do it than to bring space into his nursery.
This is a DIY project, with the wallpaper and knot pillows sourced from Etsy, the furtniture set from Little Guy Comfort, the shelving and rug from Crate Kids and the handwoven rug from Love44. The glider is from Babyletto. The wall hanger is from West Elm. The window treatment is from the Shade Store. The wall, ceiling and trim paint is from Clare.
The nursery is the perfect space for our son – both are a labor of love and dedication towards building a thriving and loving family together.

Unicorn Magic

We had a mini magical celebration for our 6 year old.

Pastel Colored Cactus / Llama Nursery

We decided early on that we did not want to find out the gender of our baby until he/she popped out but I am such a fan of color so I still wanted something super fun & bright! I started combing through Pinterest boards & Project Nursery and when I saw some cactus themed rooms, I thought that could be a fun way to add our last name (Sharpe) in there to personalize it!

Rainbows and Bunnies

When we were first decorating our daughter’s nursery, we kept it neutral because we weren’t sure whether she would be sharing her room with a future sibling and what her future sibling would be. As she got older, I started feeling guilty for always dressing her in gender neutral outfits and buying her gender neutral toys. So when we decided to remodel her room, I wanted to create a space that was just for her.

A Rainbow Baby’s Rainbow Baby Shower

I usually gravitate towards neutrals but really wanted to celebrate my rainbow baby in color! A Flour Shop cake was the inspiration for the event, and they even customized the color scheme in a pastel rainbow. I wanted the party to be intimate and Maison May was the perfect venue. It’s located in a Brooklyn brownstone so you feel like you’re just having a casual brunch at a friend’s home. They also have the perfect all-white room that really helped the rainbow theme pop.

Baby Boy’s Nursery

This is our first nursery that I created. I had a vision in mind of his nursery being a place of calmness. I knew that when baby boy entered this world, it was going to be a long and wild ride — especially in the first few months of his life with very little sleep — therefore, I wanted a place in the house that we could go to, to relax, where I found a peaceful setting to nurse Noah, and bring fond memories to come. I am so pleased with the outcome of this nursery, and it is so loved already!
