As many of you know, last Thursday Melisa, Kristin and I packed our bags, left copious notes for husbands/grandparents/caregivers, and boarded separate planes all headed for Louisville, Kentucky to attend the 9th annual ABC Kids Expo. Team PN was anxious to see what was trending for nursery and children’s room decor, and let me just say, Louisville did not disappoint! New colors and materials were on full display, and whether it’s the ultra glam, retro chic or streamlined modern look you covet, there is decor we can’t wait to share with you. So let’s get this party started with the first of several ABC post show wrap-ups.
First stop was Oeuf, makers of eco-friendly modern nursery and children’s furniture. We ogled over their Perch bunk bed—the footprint is actually smaller than a regular twin bed, which makes it perfect for space challenged, shared rooms! We also liked the functional design of the changing station accessory that attaches securely over the top of the crib for easy changing.
Next we visited Dwell Studio where we were able to chat about the new additions to the line with founder Christiane Lemieux.
The Dwell booth featured an already abundant line of children’s furnishings, bedding, rugs and accessories. We noticed beautiful new bedding and a few softly glamorous furniture pieces such as their new Century crib, Savory glider and Deco headboard.
Keeping with the modern baby vibe, we swung by the Argington booth and noticed their new BAM bassinet, which converts to a full size crib. The olive green color is unique, and the rolling canisters make it easy to move it from room to room.
Brand new company Ubabub takes modern to a new level with its ultra modern cribs made of wood and acrylic. The Pod Cot and Nifty Clear Collection were two of the coolest new additions to the market we saw on the show floor. Hopefully, we will learn more about this budding new Australian company soon!
The darling mother-daughter team behind Oilo made such a great impression at last year’s show, and we were excited to reunite with the ladies to learn about the new additions to their line of luxury modern nursery and children’s furnishings.
Annalisa, the daughter, explained that although she wasn’t a “pink girl” herself, customers were constantly asking for pink, so they decided to add the first pink to Oilo in the form of the dusty pink Freesia collection crib bedding.
They also hopped on the yellow and gray trend with a sleek new crib bedding set.
Their truly awesome changing pads, featuring double layering and Velcro tabs so that you can just wash the top pad instead of dealing with the entire fussy cover, are brilliant!
There is so much more to come, so stay tuned for our next installment featuring the latest furniture, bedding, gear and decor from ABC Kids Expo 2011.

I love the new Oilo products, but do not see anything on their website. Do you know or can you find out when will these product be available for purchase?
Does Oilo sell products through retailers, or only directly via the web?
Thanks!!
Melisa
Whitney, Dwell will be available by January. And Raegan, same for Oilo. This show is one giant sneak peak for 2012. You can purchase direct on Oilo or through our sponsor sites like laylagrayce.com and polkadotpeacock.com. I particularly love those pads because you can buy the toppers separately.
