Ooh La La! French Inspired Nursery Design Trend

Oh, you know the saying, right? “Paris is never a bad idea?” We feel the same way about French style in nursery design—it’s always a yes for us. As one of the top picks from our 2024 nursery design trends, we knew that classic, elegant, and luxurious-feeling nurseries would be gaining traction.

It’s been so exciting to see cribs, gliders, wallpaper, and decor land in our shop to help bring this style to your nursery. Let’s dive deeper into the elements of this style featuring bows, toile prints, antique finishes, and upholstery galore.

We love seeing the color blue in these ultra feminine spaces. French blue is a classic shade that always looks good in the nursery, and these blue gliders are especially pretty.

Another easy way to showcase this girly, French-inspired trend is by including bows in your design. We are seeing bows everywhere—on the walls in wallpaper and wall decals, on curtains, on pillows, lights and mirrors!

The LoveShackFancy PBK Collection has really embraced the bow, and all of these bow room decor items would look adorable in a baby girl nursery.

You can go feminine without going frilly too. Look how well French blue works in both floral and stripes. And the dainty little floral bouquets of the Clementine wallpaper are super sweet.

Sometimes it’s a simple scalloped edge or curved detail on a furniture piece that can add just that little something special like on the Liberty Dresser below.

Crib skirts are coming back and are an easy opportunity to add layers of texture to your space.

We’d love to see your French-inspired or ultra-girly, feminine nurseries and girls rooms. Don’t forget to upload them to our real room gallery. We might even feature your space on our social media!
