Plaid is a classic, and this plaid nursery shows that plaid can be both cozy and sophisticated. In perfect shades of beige and warm wood tones, the neutral nursery practically glows. What a peaceful space for mom Gabrielle Saucedo to cuddle baby Sawyer. We adore this space, and we absolutely love seeing ducks and geese popping up in nurseries!

Where did you pull inspiration for your nursery design?
The art of the ducklings above the crib is where my inspiration came from. Being that we did not know the baby’s gender, I knew I wanted the color scheme to be heavy on beige, with green accents. The art immediately inspired me to create a subtle “mother goose” type room.
What part of the design process did you enjoy the most?
Finding nursery furniture that would complement the wallpaper. The wood on the crib and dresser has a warmer feel to it, so I spent hours trying to pair the perfect beige wallpaper that also had warm tones.
What is your favorite part or detail in your nursery?
I love how the ducklings on the baby blanket match perfectly with the ducklings in the artwork.
What is one thing that you would tell other parents to consider when starting their own nursery design project?
Start with a piece of art that you really like and the rest will fall into place from there. Also use wallpaper—it adds so much to the overall room design!

The inspiration from the duckling art is a lovely touch, and the subtle “mother goose” theme is truly heartwarming. Well done, Gabrielle, on creating a beautiful nursery!
