Project Valentine’s Baby

I’ve got some news! A little valentine’s baby is heading my way! Well, almost, my due date is February 13th. And if you didn’t already guess from the color below, it’s a second little boy for our family.

Though I was positive I was having a girl, I’m thrilled to have another little boy join our family and excited that my two-year-old son is going to have a brother. I’m going to lean hard on Melisa, pro mom of two young boys, for advice when things get hairy!

Now my mind is racing with what I need to do. Nursery design? How much furniture should I repurpose from my two-year-old? Does it mean I’ll have to kick my two-year-old out of his crib? Did I mention we’re in the middle of trying to buy a house? It’s a lot for this pregnant mama. I know many of you have been through it before, so I’m counting on you guys to help me out as I share my plans and questions over the next few months.

Any other PN readers with February due dates out there?

I’m February too! Still waiting on gender – little guy or gal is being kind of shy about it. This is our #1.

I’m due Feb 9th. It’s our third – we have one of each already. We didn’t find out the gender of any of them, so we’re doing round three of a surprise. :)
Our kids have their own rooms now and there isn’t another to spare, so my dilemma/main stress factor is how to arrange everyone. My daughter has the bigger room, so do I move her big brother in with her and give Baby his old room? Or do I put Baby in with my daughter? I go back and forth on a daily basis. The urge to decorate, but not knowing what or where to do it is driving me NUTS!

    Mindy,

I think if you end up with 2 girls then they get the bigger room, same with if you end up with 2 boys, they would get the bigger room. only fair right,,, i dont think boys and girls are allowed to share rooms, just saying :)

Congrats! I have a girl (7 yrs) and a boy (nearly 6 months) so I’ll be no help! Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy! Have fun designing your nursery. That was always one of my favorite things to do while pregnant. Being able to sit in their nursery waiting for them to arrive is heaven. Enjoy!

Congrats to you and your family! And yes! I’m due February 17, 2012 – a baby girl! My first daughter was born on February 13, 2010. She will be two years old when her little sister arrives! I look forward to Valentine’s Day themed birthday parties for my girls in the future…working on a big girl bedroom (will post in coming weeks) for the oldest, her new sis will take the current nursery (phew!), and bins of saved baby girl clothes too! :) Cheers Momma!
