Throw the Cutest Cactus Baby Shower!

When it comes to baby shower themes, I feel like we’ve all seen the same ones time and time again. Ready to Pop, Showered with Love, Florals, Bees, etc. Don’t get me wrong—I adore all these themes, but sometimes you just want to throw a party that everyone hasn’t already seen all over Pinterest already—am I right or am I right?

Well, I’ve got a new adorable baby shower theme to inspire you today—just in case you’re looking for a theme for your own shower or you’re planning a shower for that special mom-to-be!

Throw an Easy Cactus Cutie Baby Shower!

This past year, I started a mild little obsession with cacti. I think it all started when I spied a little mini green house at Trader Joe’s one day with six different teeny tiny but oh-so cute cacti. It was love at first sight, I’ll admit it! These adorable little cacti I saw were the inspiration for this new baby shower theme—A Cactus Cutie Baby Shower!

There’s a couple of reasons why a Cactus Cutie Baby Shower is the perfect theme for almost any shower. It’s gender neutral, and it’s not seasonal, so it’s great for anyone at almost any time of the year! In the following photos, you’ll see that I’ve made it easy for you to throw this same baby shower yourself since all of my Cactus Cutie printables are available in my Etsy Shop!

To start, I designed some Cactus Cutie Invitations and Cactus Print Envelope Liners. I love the look of these potted watercolor cacti with adorable little smiling Kawaii faces—mom and baby! Also, I loved this little tabletop battery powered cactus light—it’s the perfect accessory for your shower!

To make the mom-to-be feel extra special, think of displaying a welcome sign at the shower as guests enter. It’s a great way to let everyone know they are at the right place, and it’s also a nice memento that can be given to the mom-to-be. Aren’t the baby cacti onesies SO stinkin’ cute?

One of my favorite things we did at my own shower many years ago was when experienced moms wrote me little tidbits of baby advice. I really treasured their handwritten words of wisdom, so I created this matching tabletop sign that reads “Words of Advice for the Mom-to-Be” and smaller matching cards for the guests to write on. The completed cards can be hung on a clothes line with tiny clothespins or placed in a scrapbook. Of course, having guests fill out these cards with a cactus pen is a MUST!

One of my favorite items that I created for this shower is the baby cacti onesie banner. Again, it’s perfect because it’s gender neutral! To make it look like these baby onesies were really hanging on a clothesline, I attached them with tiny wooden clothespins to the twine. You can hang it on a mantel, over your dining tables or above the present pile!

A dessert table is an absolute must at your Cactus Cutie Baby Shower! How about using a backdrop behind your sweets table? It’s got the same coordinating baby cacti onesies to match all your other decor. In addition, I found this adorable cactus banner to string across the front of my dessert table.

Why not make the cutest cupcakes you ever did see with baby onesie cupcake toppers and cactus cupcake wrappers to go with them.

I also made treat bags (perfectly sized for chocolate chop cookies!) that say “Welcome, Baby!” on front. These bags would also be perfect for popcorn!

To finish your party decor, here’s a look at my matching dining table. I used Meri Meri plates, cups and napkins, and stickers and found these cacti online for my centerpieces.

I also found the perfect cactus print wooden silverware, also for sale on Etsy.

And last but not least, I’ve tried to take the guesswork out of hosting a baby shower for you—I’ve got a Cactus Cutie “Party in a Box” available! It’s all the items I talked about above, but you get the items at a discount when you purchase all of them together!

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing a new baby shower theme and just maybe, inspired you to throw your own Cactus Cutie Baby Shower!

gorgeous styling. i am in the midst of a taco party for my daughter’s 8th birthday. can you please tell me the colour of the round paper plate in your dining setting? it’s so hard to work out the colours online sometimes, if it’s mint green or aqua etc. thank you.

Such a cute baby shower! My daughter-in-law is having a baby shower this month. I might do this. But I have a couple questions … what color is the plate under the cactus and what did you use the cactus plate for? Or was it just for the cute factor? Because it is definitely cute!!!! Thanks!
