I met with my client in her brand new home in Los Feliz, California, and I was delighted by the space she showed me. Full of natural light, original molding and wood floors, this room was ready to be transformed into a pretty pastel nursery for her baby girl. With shopping favorites like Anthropologie and West Elm, this client is pretty much a dream! We decided on neutral walls to keep the space light and bright, and then we layered in shades of white and ivory with lots of texture and some pops of mint green and pale pink.
We wanted to use unpainted, natural wood furniture paired with white for an eclectic feel and decided on these great pieces from Oeuf. A wood beaded pendant hangs from the ceiling and mirrors the natural vibe. The crib bedding is super simple with just a patterned sheet.
One of my favorite parts of this design is the rug. My client loved this mint medallion rug, and the colors and pattern worked perfectly with the design. The large art over the crib was custom painted to pull in the mint color and add some color to the space.
Dresser | Mirror | Lamp | Animal Prints | Changing Pad Cover
In the other corner of the room, we used my client’s existing glider and side table and added in some fun artwork pieces and a velvety soft throw blanket. The room has such beautiful natural lighting, so we opted for these lace detailed curtains (she plans on training the baby to sleep with light in the room).
We placed this adorable house-shaped wall shelf above the glider to store some of my client’s favorite little trinkets and mementos. A small hook hangs on the wall next to the shelf for a little extra storage.
House Shelf | Hello Sign | Decorative Books
My client loves books, so we included a few sets of classic books with decorative covers to match the space.
This large canvas art piece was custom designed and painted with a sweet little quote at the bottom. The crib sheet has a delicate pattern to tie together the color scheme.
We hung this great round wall mirror with rope accents over the dresser. It has a beautiful patina and brings out the slight bluish colors in the rest of the decor, as well as helping to open up the small space.
I loved working on this nursery because it was so sentimental to my client, and she was so excited to be creating a special space for her growing family.

Is that a Britt Bass piece of art? Love. Who makes the chandelier? Love this

Hi, who is the artist for the custom canvas? This is exactly what I’ve been looking for for my daughters room.
Little Crown Interiors
I don’t actually know who painted the art piece – it was made by a friend of my client. The chandelier is from Pottery Barn Kids. Thanks!

Love this rug. Can’t seem to get the link to work. Where is it from?
Beth
Hi Mary! Sorry that link isn’t working anymore! I found what appears to be a very similar, if not the same, rug here (affiliate link). Hope this helps and good luck with your room design!
