Happy Veterans Day! With approximately 22 million former and current military service members in the US today, chances are you probably know someone who has helped protect our freedom. These free printable Veterans Day Cards for kids make it easy for your children to thank a military veteran today.
Print the template here—white cardstock is ideal for durability.
Cut out the shapes. Any child old enough to grip a crayon can get in on the coloring action!
Help your kids pass them out to family, neighbors or the man with the Vietnam vet hat in the grocery store. Every veteran deserves our appreciation, and every child should learn the value of their sacrifice.

I’m organizing a Make a Valentine for a Vet in our community. Do you give permission to print these? I would need 1,000+. Thank you for making these. They are perfect for our event.

Hi Anna – Yes! I would be honored to have you use them for their intended purpose at your event!!! Permission granted! Thank you for asking and thank you for spreading love to our nation’s vets.
Anna
Thank you so much! I love having events that especially help kids to think about others… outward rather than inward. Thanks again. I appreciate this resource so much.

Our MOPS (Mothers Of Preschoolers) group is going to a Veterans home for the kids to sing and visit. I’d love to take these cards for the younger kids to color and give out. I saw Anna’s comment and kind of assumed it would be fine, but I always like to ask. Can I use these in a project as well?
Beth
Yes!

Our school is writing notes of kindness to Veterans and first responders in our area. We are doing this as a remote writing project for our school families. Do we have your permission?
Grey House Harbor
@HelenHershberger – Yes! Please do. :)

I am a Girl Scout troop leader and we are donating a lot of cookies to Operation Yellow Ribbon which will send them to our troops. Can I please print these hearts for my Brownie and Daisy girls to color and attach to the boxes?
Beth
Yes! That would be fine. What a nice idea!
