My little man Blake officially turned one! We gave you a sneak peek of his train themed first birthday party at Gymboree Play and Music a few weeks back. Hold on to your conductor hats because today we are revealing all the details.
I am proud to report that the party was train-tastic! The party was fueled with amazing games and activities hosted by Gymboree Play and Music and adorable party décor from Happy Wish Company. The Gymboree Play and Music location had an additional party room on site that allowed us to personalize the event and add additional decor to help bring our train theme to life. We used construction pallets to set the theme and incorporated a wooden train set to add character to the dessert table.
The Happy Wish Company sent me a care package of train themed party goods including tent cards, cupcake toppers, bandanas, gift bag tags and an adorable bunting flag banner. Those extra details really helped add the finishing touch to the party.
The gift bags were filled with Gymboree Play and Music favors and, of course, their famous bubbles—all included with the party package!
I admitted in my last post that I tried to skip the big first birthday party, but after being called out by my five-year-old, I had to step up to the plate. Hosting this party turned out to be stress-free. At the start of the planning process, I was able to choose from a long list of birthday themes. Trains were an obvious pick for my little train obsessed man. The party staff based the activities and songs around our theme, keeping the party personalized for Blake!
The amazing staff won the hearts of our tiny party guests (and the parents)! They were animated, fun and kept all of our little partygoers engaged in the activities. I’m happy to report that there were no tears at this event!
Little guests were given the opportunity to explore, climb and use their imagination.
The crowd favorite? The bubbles and giant rainbow parachute, of course!
Bay Area-based photographer Lynda Kennedy captured all the decor and fun moments throughout the party, which allowed me to enjoy the party!
Hats off to the amazing staff that ran the party! They helped me through the party process from beginning to end—even clean up! What’s not to love about that? If you are preparing to host your next event, I strongly recommend locating your local Gymboree Play and Music!
They also offer classes! Gymboree Play and Music also has a wide range of classes for kids up to the age of five. Their mission is to encourage development in children through play and learning. The curriculum is created using play-based activities to help stimulate the minds and bodies of our little ones. Visit their website to sign up for a free trial class!
